why would anyone want to be Bill Gates Bi*ch when he is the anti christ! Why would the industry bother to use Macs as standard if PC's are far superior? Have any of you even used a Mac? You may be able to play games whilst rendering on your PC, but that is because a PC is a general all rounder, whic...

you dumb bas**rds!! Apple Macs s**t on PC's from a great height!! i regulary use both for editing and it is a FACT that a G4 cube is far more powerful than a dual processor P4 PC, this is to do with the type of chips that are used, and until PC's stop using outdated 8080 chips, Mac's will always be ...

Split Screen?
I'm trying to edit a piece using a split screen, does anyone know if premiere is capable of doing this? I have found the transparency thing where you can split the screen, but this way you lose half of the shot. what i want to do is have the whole screen playing, just resized so that a second screen...

The next time you start premiere it will not remember any of the settings. If thgis doesn't work then uninstall pre...

Are you capturing the footage to the same physical drive, that the operating system is installed on? Windows doesn't like that kind of stuff as the IDE cables (these link your hard drive to the motherboard) cannot cope with the amount of data floating about .. the operating system (windoze) and the ...

The source footage is captured at DV AVI 568x720 all of the source footage runs perfect. When I capture an hours worth of tape it takes up around 12 gig, which I think is about right. So you think it would be worth exporting as DV AVI (which is uncompressed) and converting to MPEG elsewhere? Cheers ...

The graphics card I use is an all in wonder radeon with 128 mb of onboard RAM. So I'm pretty sure the system is upto the job. Is it possible to capture the footage as different file format that will make the final file (which will be exported as MPEG) run smoothly? Should I use an independant MPEG e...

Premiere 6.5 Export Settings
I am editing short films for music videos using premiere 6.5. The footage is captured via firewire from a JVC mini dv camera. When I play the edited film in premiere it runs smoothly and the transitions are slick. However when I export it as an MPEG-1 (or 2) using the built in encoder the picture be...
