They will argue that de-tatchable optics gains alot as being able to get exactly the look you want in a scene.

Lol too bad I didn't see this post earlier. I actually did this effect the way insert_coin describes it to be done this summer, offcourse using 3d studio max. I don't have an example online anymore, but maybe I'll render out one later if I could only find the .max file... Damnit... But basically I t...

It's more common for the DVD player to support it than the TV. But even without these features you still get sort of a film feel to it, because the framerate will be the same as the one you see on your dvd's and stuff..

Just to explain my hatred agains 24p that filmlook wannabes want, this is just dumbarse because your tv can't show anything but PAL or NTSC anyways, meaning 25p(very few can actually show true progressive though) 50i and the same for NTSC. When you see a DVD-PAL on your TV the framerate isn't even 2...

Raptor: Yeah sure you can loose quality in post, but I'm not talking about f*** raping the footage to pieces. Small adjustements wont even be noticable. This thing you are talking about to make 24p (which is lame, use 25p) in premiere pro makes you loose half the quality vertically and is therefore ...

Sony is better for television productions while the GL-2 is better for film-productions because of it's 25p capabilities. When mentioning the saturation differences these are all things that easily can be adjusted in post.

It's very hard to see any details when the clip is compressed so hard. The greenscreening itself looks okay, but it looks totally unrealistic because you have the exposure the wrong way around. Your footage inside the car is brighter than the outside footage. You need to increase the brightness outs...

Take off the rotors, import the chopper into your fav. 3d software, model some blades and give em much motion blur and let them spin extremely fast. Track them along the chopper body and then key it behind the helicopters body..

The next thing will probably be that they record on a hard-drive in the jack in battery, so you just plug the battery in a slot connected to your computer afterwards. That would be neat

You need to tweak those clips alot before they are usable. And for them to be perfectly usable with the terrible keyer in Premiere you need to start praying right now! :D Anyways, sometimes under the explosions/flames the exposure changes, which f*cks up the entire composite. That's why you have to ...

Maya had the same features on almost everything as Max and Lightwave but it has FAR better particle control and that's the main thing that makes it better then both of the previous mentioned. That's why you have to hear it all the time insert_coin..

Heh, Premiere cant do that easily. You would nee some pro-stuff tracking software to do it. Until u get a hold of that you'll have to manually track it
