I had to act out a German dialogue for class. We had to not only speak the German, but act it out as well. I played the part of a guy trying to hit on a girl. There was a part where I said something to provoke a slap. Well, the slap was faked (air slapped) and when it got to my face, I did a half ba...

I act in them. I have a better idea of how things need to be done. Then again, sometimes I'm the only one willing to do anything to get the part as realistic of a feel. Then again, sometimes I go overboard, like breaking my arm while getting "slapped".

Receivers

I'm planning on starting on a home theater system, possibly sometime by the end of this year. I'm interested in starting off with a very good receiver, then eventually speakers. I've only got a limited idea as to what to look for (like cable connection types). But as far as specs (i.e. ohms), I'm a ...

Probably 40-50. Some box sets/special editions that I'm counting as one (i.e. Family Guy, LOTR, Pulp Fiction). I used to buy one or two a week, then I needed to start saving some money.

The ending I finally figured out for my movie. It's going to rely on the rest of the movie to understand the end. But I've finally got the ending, the perfect ending. I'll have to get to revising the script when I get over my bad weekend.

The new Ocean's Eleven, with Clooney, Pitt, Mac, Cheadle, Roberts, Garcia, Reiner, Damon. The "revealing" sequence is where they use a different camera angle on some shots from before and show how they were able to pull off their stunt and knock off the casino.

Ocean's Eleven, the recruiting portion, and then torwards the end when they "reveal" how they got the money out of the casino. Really a slick movie overall.

If you're looking for something scary, then I say having someone with the face of a pedifile (which there is, a guy I see from time to time at a gas station by me) and a naturally, deep-sounding, menacing laugh or chuckle is a start. The trick then is to have him do something to someone (like lick s...

UHF is more like a B movie Foxwood. Clerks is famous for spawing into a saga while that kind of chance never existed for UHF. UHF is still a cult classic. It might just be stupid to you because you don't understand everything that they are mocking in it. Plus you've never seen the worst movie ever. ...

UHF. Seems pretty low budget to me, yet they can still show a kid drinking from a fire hose.

1. You can't in the US. In fact, you'll usually have to pay synchronization rights as well as royalty rights (often to different people, depending on who has which rights). You may be able to get a break for academic filmmaking, though if you move to the mainstream festival route, you'll usually ha...

What about using MiniDisc Recorder with a mic? Would you recommend at all? Or what would give a better, crisp-clear sound and block out wind?

Hey, what is wrong with a little inspiration? :P As a member of the viewing audience, I personally get tired of copycat productions. I've had a few things like that taped and stored at school (i.e. taping someone get hit by a car, flipped on a roof and driven around the parking lot), and its funny ...
