I have an old 8mm camera, It is pretty nice, of course, the quality is no where even close to 16mm. Though, I think it is a good investment, it is mostly fun, it would probably cost even more then $100 to shoot a short film though. It is really fun though, but just remember, 8mm is an old format, so...

If it is an XLR mic and it is phantom powered, you'll need an XLR to 1/8" from http://www.beachtek.com . Or if it is not phantom powered, get a http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062443&cp=&pg=2&kw=xlr&parentPage=search and then a 1/4"-to-1/8" adapt...

RE: Prevention Clip Online!

It was ok. Really the only thing that got to me most, was that you broke the 180 degree rule, A LOT!

But other then that, I thought that the story will be quite good.

Very nice, you felt the tension from both the camera and the actor, I think it looks good when you also talk with the camera, not just the actor. I was thinking the same thing with the colour, it looked great! I didn't jump when you cut, it was very very smooth. The wide angle was also very nice, to...

RE: Slow motion

If your use in avid you go to Effects palate Ctrl + F8 then go to timewarp and ad speed bump then place it on the clip, and then ad the film blur effect, hope that helps.

if you use premire right click the clip and select speed, and ajust to your preferences.
