RE: What is a stock footage??
While that could be considered stock footage, the normal industry definition would be more along the lines of video that is purvhased to fill a specific need for a project that you have not or can not produce yourself. I produce stock weather footage, everything from snowstorms and bad driving on ic...

Blue or green if you have skin tones, but as Epsilon said, any color that is not in the foreground. The problem with the edges is not caused by true antialiasing, but by the DV 4:1:1 sampling rate. The chroma channel is sample only once every four pixels, resulting in the blocky edges when you key o...

It is top and bottom FIELD not frame, two fields make up a frame, each containing half the frame information - what is referred to as 60i 60 fields make 30 frames ( 29.97 ) So theoretically you can't split fields.

Remember, fair use does not prevent you from being sued, it is only a defense for the infringement AFTER you get sued. Educational use is also somewhat strictly defined. Using music in a school project is not necessarily an educational use. The music must be part of the educational value. In other w...

In the case of most vid cams, the audio processing circuit is , well, pretty bad. Even higher end cams like the VX2100, XL's, GL's etc have to remain price competetive, and since the video is more easily recognized for quality by the average person, the audio circuits often use cheap, noisy preamps ...

Is it analog or Digital captur? (Firewire or svideo/composite ) If firewire, try the cam on another crd, it's possible the firewire port on the cam is blown.

It can take up to 48 hours for DNS changes to filter out to DNS servers on teh 'net. The servers cache previous lookups so they don't have to requery the root and primary servers for address translation. Now that being said, I have personally never seen it take more than 12 hours for a DNS change to...

Well i have used both, quality wise i cannot tell a difference. DV cams have larger tapes than mini dv but that is why they are mini. DV tapes are also capable of capturing 2 hours as opposed to about an hour to an hour and a half with mini dv. mini dv may be able to do 2 hours but i have not seen ...

RE: STINGER EMAIL RECEIVED TODAY ABOUT ME AND MY PROJECT
I wouldn't ignore them all, I would take them and use them for the basis of research - consider them constructive criticism.. some of the points are valid DV ( MiniDV, DVCAM, DVCPro ) all are pretty poor for green screen work. It can be done, Serious Magic Ultra does a pretty decent job of chromakey...

I'm thinking there may be a setting somewhere that got toggled, I tried in two separate installs of 6.0 and an install of PPro 1.0 and neither exhibited any behavior like this, I assume you are dragging the explosion clip into it's own track? If you are dropping it into a track which already has a c...

The purpose of a monitor is to view the video output on a properly calibrated monitor. i've got your problem solved don't use pinnacle for green screening. pinnacle is horrible because it is unstable. none of it's tools are very powerful. pinnacle is about $100, premiere is $200. do yourself a favor and spend a little more to get the better quality editor. or better yet, you could us...

Theoretically a good projector can handle it, depending on the quality of footage. If you have artifacts due to poor lighting etc, the they will be accentuated on the big screen, if it's smooth, should not ( repeat for emphasis SHOULD) be a problem. You aren't going to get better than 720x480 out of...
