Maybe it's just me, but your stills seem pretty washed out looking.

I get nicer colours from my XL1, perhaps you've tinkered with them in post?

Also, watch out for over exposure.

If you use vegas to edit, you can place a noise reducer on the dialogue audio and you don't have to re sync the audio up!

I use an XL1, with either the onboard mic or a sennheiser with standard mic plug.

XL1 doesn't have XLR inputs, the XL2 does though..

Like Ornsack said, i think he's a filmmaker who's put a lot of time, money and effort into trying to 'make it big' and has failed. Valid info there though.

Thats odd, i have an XL1 and its pal and its not a XL1e.

In 5 you can just right click the clip and select reverse.
