RE: Re: RE: HUGE EXPLOSION

The mortars you have in the picture are double-breaks, which means that they go up, explode, then explode again higher (using momentum). So if you didn't know this you could have been in some deep (insert expletive here). And I don't think it would look like a "real" explosion because it w...

Helvetica Bold 50 px white. This is the first one I made www.ahaeuser.com/ed/tasar/video/coins8.mov
These are the 45, 1000, and 3000 video clips www.ahaeuser.com/ed/tasar/video/index.html If you can make the background blue or green so I can key it out, that would be great. Thanks alot!

RE: PSAs for my school

Ok, I've run into a problem. I need to make 3 counters in AE 6 to count up to 45, 1000, and 3000. There has got to be an easier way to do this than making a text layer and making the text property change with time and type in 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. up to 45. Can anyone help? Oh yeah, the deadline is Monday.

RE: Manimum Cable Lengths

Wireless might be an option, if the signal is having trouble there are uni-directional antennas you can get to focus the signal (just make sure the wireless router has an antenna port). As long as you have a WEP encrypted password protecting your network, most people won't be able to get in. I like ...

I just use Mac, no spyware, no problems. My dad's PC was infested with spyware. He connected to the local hospital's network to look at X-Rays and stuff (he can get them at home now) and when he was done there was 175 spyware programs on his computer! These ads kept coming up on web pages, covering ...

RE: Re: RE: 16 or 14 Bit Sound?

The only reason you would want 14 bit is if you used your camera for audio dubbing. If you record in 16 bit you can only have 2 audio tracks (left and right). But if you record in 14 bit you can fit 4 audio tracks (left and right camcorder and left and right dub) onto a tape. For NLE's 16 bit is the...

PSAs for my school

PSAs are usually not that interesting, but I'm making a series of 3. They are about a program that my school has to help students out with their problems (drugs, alcohol, suicide, etc.) T.A.S.A.R. as it is called, has a "red ribbon week" where students wear red ribbons to show they are dru...

Snapz Pro X. It isn't free, but it works great.

As JJJSWIFT said, GarageBand rocks (only $50). If you need something more... uh, better, you can use a soundtrack app called (what else?) Soundtrack. Although it will put you back $200. But it does include over 4,000 loops and effects.

Panasonic PV-GS70 questions

I have two questions for anyone who knows about or has one of these cameras. First is, my battery charger keeps saying the CGA-DU21 (highest capacity) battery has an error. I have gone through 3 of these and it still says they have an error. Why does this happen? The second question is, will a LANC ...

The only difference between and iMac and eMac is that an eMac has a CRT (not flat screen) display, and internal speakers. The CRT makes them less expensive. It is the "best buy" for schools, even without a discount.

The reason most schools like Macs is because Apple has huge discounts for schools if they buy alot of stuff. Even the teachers can get say, an $800 eMac for like $450.

G5's!!!

I just learned today that my school is getting 25 (!) new G5 computers for the video/computer lab! I didn't think my school had enough money to buy that many computers. After all, the lockers are crappy, the food stinks and we could stand to loose a few (slightly crazy) teachers. I just thought I'd ...

Yes, but not by much. Do it like 5 times and you will start to notice. It is especially bad if you tape it in LP mode, then tape over in SP or SLP. I've tried it and the LP image played as if it were an SP image. I would buy a tape eraser if you don't want to buy more tapes.

Argh! The 120 has less features than the 200 or 70. I've posted this many times: "If you can, go for a PV-GS70. It was replaced by the GS200, so if you can find it, it is probably on sale." The 70 has a flash, focus ring, and (in my opinion) a better way of controling the manual settings. ...

The show Scrubs is shot with only one camera. It's also edited on Final Cut Pro.
