One important word which describes my style: Cinema verité. Long takes, shoulder shots, camera following the subject as if you were actually there. Sharp sounds, loud, realistic background ambience. I use my own form of stabalizer when doing 'hand held' shots, which is simple, but quite effective. ...

I liked it- I don't know if it's just the camera, or how that house is colored but it looked very visually interesting. Muzzle flashes need to be cropped down to one frame. Thanks for the suggestion. Yea I dunno, but the concept of hand held 'shaky' camera / cinema verité appeals to me. I could ha...

That wasn't great... what was the point? The guys walking seemed a bit weird too, very casual considering what he was about to do... music didn't really fit although I guess you were going for ironic music considering the content! There really was no point in this, just was bored. I updated the abo...

Short Preview for Possible Upcoming Short Film
Well I've come back from the summer and wanted to shoot something, so I found a balaclava and a pistol, and really this is what I came up in 3 minutes. Just ignore the titles. I may if I feel like it, turn it into a story. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGhFKjGrVAQ With Muzzle Flashes http://www.you...

RE: Muzzle Flash & Day for Night Test
It seems a bit jerky.
The second one is much better, with the added light and tint.

Pretty neat.
I guess its acceptable for amateur film makers like us.
I chuckled at some points. Good effort I say.

Appreciate the comments! Here i am! The second song was terrible. The amount of blood was perfect, but he sat there for ages like a tool. The acting wasn't great but the killer wasn't too bad. The muzzle flashes were too thick rimmed. He should die almost instantly, or after like 2 seconds, no longe...

'With Vengence' - Short Effects Test
Decided to try my luck on blood effects without using any 'digital blood'. There is no plot outline. I used a variation of effects, such as contrast, saturation and some colour correction. (Note the fade when he gets shot). Hope you enjoy. <object width="425" height="350"><param ...

Long Takes
Anyone ever applied any long takes to their videos or attempted them? I really love the effect it gives, almost cinema verite look. (Shaky camera, documentary style) Here are a few examples. Children of Men (2006) <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" val...

I recently switched to Sony Vegas from Adobe Premiere, and it certainly is easier to use, and appears to have a quite similar power to edit. I applied the Chromo Key on this video to remove the white and blue background (the dirt explosion and fire explosion are two separate clips). However you can ...

Using Adobe Premiere Pro files in Sony vegas 7
Hello, I just recently switched from Adobe Premiere to Sony Vegas.
I was wondering if there is a tool that I can use to convert my adobe premiere project files to the sony vegas project files?
Regards
