ENTER renders everything and then lets you see it
SPACEBAR lets you watch it in realtime
Its a good thing you gave premier pro a good chance before you deemed it sucky :x

shine gives you a more rich feel, with small halos and stuff, but i sappose overexposure would work....

this is better known as the JAWS effect, mainly because thats really the first place they used it.
zoom in on your subject
move toward your subject (dolly in) at the same time zoom out.

the trick is to try to move forword at the same speed that you are zooming out :)

omg are you guys retarded, he said he got it from turbosquid, and he said he rendered in maya. I would say it looks good, though it is a little to shiny. Blade, why would you tell some one that what they are making is going to look crappy, before they even start? I dont think that is what this forum...

maybe you should put some bright lights behind the actors, that way you can have a smokey silliotte of the gore happening, this way you get to see more of whats going on but less details.

have you thought of useing a screen recorder? i have used one called hypercam to do some other projects in the past, i just tried it, and it worked for recording wmp visualizations, i would say look it up and give it a try.

no offence to anyone, but i agree with ic. This effect would be pretty cheezy, i could see someone getting their jaw ripped off...maybe, but not being stabbed with it over and over. I also think that if you dont want to help someone on this forum, or if you dont like the effect they are trying to do...
