Tab is short for Tabular (sp?), and is guitar notation. Cakewalk can convert and use both forms of notation, along with many variations of base and treble cleffs, so I would assume that any basic MIDI program would also be able to do tab.

Oh I forgot about the 28 days later scene. I loved the music in that! (It's called 'In The House- In A Heartbeat' for anyone who also wanted to get it). Pretty much the last hour of Titanic is pretty emotional stuff, as many people have already said. P.S. I hated the end of LOTR. It dragged on and o...

Speaking of Montages, the 'Secrets Montage' in Identity is good. Not for any of its own merit specially, but it just breaks the story into the two acts so well, and advances the story. (By the way, if what the montage of secrets is is unclear, its the bit soon after everyone has gathered at the hote...

Human to Dummy Transitions

There are a few effects used in Identity (but I'm going to be as least specific as I can so I don't spoil it for the insane people who haven't seen Identity yet) in which people are hit by cars. It is pretty violent, so I am assuming they use dummies. Now, just before the accidents, the actors are t...

I was just listening to Hell Song by Sum 41. It reminded me that in American Pie, the sad bit when Stiffler realises he is a jerk, and he decides to o whats best for his pal, and buy some flowers, that song plays. The song is really upbeat, but it still does the job.

Sounds cool. Just a quick question: Will it be all copyright free etc? For example, if we were to distriubte the film in any way, would it be legal if it contained your works? I would love to use this service some time in the future. However, in my next movie (a horror) i am attempting to compose ev...

I think things that can happen are more scary. That's why 28 Days Later has the effect it does. With SARS outbreaks and stuff, you think 'jeez, this is real life!'. Candyman etc is like 'wow, pretty cool, but this could never happen, so no threat to me'. Kids are the new scary things I think. Beasts...

Cool bear, but i think he might look a little too human like. I know you're the professional here, but i would personally prefer a bear with slightly chubbier limbs.

How do you learn to compose? It's just Im really interested as it is something I would love to get involved in. I have a keyboard and am roughly grade 5 standard, and like to make little tunes, but can rarely get anything out much good, especially not in the genres I would like (film accompainment o...

I don't see the risk in using copyrighted material if all your going to do is show it to Great Aunt Helga and Uncle Bob.

However, if you have a relative who values putting 'arresting his nephew for a petty little crime' on his CV higher then his whole entire family, then maybe its not a good move.
