Re: Riding in Cars with Bees

Oh man. I feel their pain. Nothing gets me in panic-mode more than a bee in the car! ('cept maybe a wasp.)

On a more technical and artistic point of view, it was strangely beautiful and mesmerizing. The camera work made the whole thing real eye candy.

Lovely work as always!

Trahison au Goûter

Hey there peeps! Here's a short short that got shot in less than 30 minutes at my college with a couple of friends. The whole idea came to me about an hour or two before starting, so there's not a lot of thought that went into it. Nonetheless, I've been told it's still an enjoyable piece of nonsense...

The Man who Falleth Down the Stairway

Here's a stop-motion short shot in an evening as an assignement for college. Shot in 6 fps, as requested by the teacher. It wasn't anything very complicated since the teacher just wanted to see if we understood the principle of stop-motion animation  done very simply; I'm wearing my everyday c...

Need suggestions

Hi! I'll do around halloween a few performances as Katafalk the clown. In this i'll be juggling (balls, clubs, axes, severed limbs, baby heads), balloon twisting (still trying to find great horror-themed sculpts), performing various sideshow tricks (swallowing a fully inflated 260Q balloon, hammerin...

I did shoot a small movie in english once (I'm french), and the major problem was with my actors, who had a hard time to pronunce correctly. I did act a bit in it, as Josef Mengele, and in my part I spoke german, but still, I had less trouble than them! (yay for non-stop listening to Rammstein!) if ...

you logo looks great, colin, but if you could make the squiggly line a tad bit darker while keeping it subtle, it would be even better.

latex stippling on someone young doesn't do much, the skin's too tight, and if it DOES work, he'll look much older than you want too... maybe an appliance simulating crows feet and bags under the eyes, and if you can convince your actor, shave his hairline to make it receed a little. the rest is pre...

night lighting - I have a problem

so here's my problem: in a movie, I need to get an undead man raising from the water at night. Now everything's ok with this; my camcorder isn't great but i'll film at day and make it look like it's night.... which should work, BUT, 2 important elements in the story is both his pipe and a lantern......

plaster wouldn't work; rule #1 with molds: whenever possible, use a soft mold for a hard cast, and a hard cast for a soft mold. making fake glass bottles is expensive mold-wise; you might get good results with alginate, but it would be good for only one bottle and I don't know if the heat of the rec...

blender could be a good starter too... it's a b**ch to learn, but it gives professional results and is 100% free. anyways, for a spinning knife, you could get away with after effects by doing the scene from profile and composite the image of a knife in it and make it spin. (don't ask me how though, ...

how about some chunks 'o flesh? it's what tom savini used when actors got bitten in romero's living dead trilogy. it's simply red coloured latex, spread in a thin sheet on a smooth surface. When dry, rub it to create holes and thick parts, peel it off, and aply it to your actor. it looks like a mix ...

RE: Madonna "Get Together" Music Video Help

hmmm... I'm not sure, but maybe it can help or even spark an idea to someone else.

it could possibly work if you made the clip monochrome, than tint it the way you like, and boost the contrast and saturation until there is only black and the color you want.
