Breakaway Chair

I need a chair that can be smashed over an actor's body. It doesn't have to break, but that may be cool. I was thinking of building one out of cardboard. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I kinda wish that there was no dialogue. It broke the mood of the scene a little bit. Nice work.

RE: Squib

Thanks for your sarcasm. As for exposure.co.uk, of course I've seen that. As I said, I dont have time or money for the sprayer.

Squib

I'm in a rush and need a recipe for non-explosive squibs, preferably made from materials around the house. I've tried the fake-blood-in-egg method (didn't work) and don't want to go and buy a pesticide sprayer at the moment. Any easy methods you gys know of?

If the movie is about a hitman, wouldn't he need a rifle suitable for taking out people? I believe the Barrett is used for such tasks as piercing armor, destroying engine blocks, etc. But good luck anyway.

RE: Script, Anyone interested in filming it? (look inside)

The dialogue is a little artificial. Work on that.

Sorry if this part is over, Rhys, I believe that's milk with drencrom. Sharpens you up for a bit of the old...ultraviolence.

So, the trailer -- music choice was bad, camera was a bit shakey, explosion stock was overused. I am looking forward to the movie, though.

That was really good. LOL Roxanne. I love the image of two guys tied down to chairs singing along with Sting. Well done.

RE: SWAT script Scenes 1-4

I think the story is too basic to become a movie that will involve suiting up a bunch of guys in full SWAT attire if that's what you intend to do. The dialogue needs work, as does the story. If I were you, I would read it again and ask, would someone really say that? In some of the situations you cr...

I love how you knock on the door before strangling him. Oh yeah, the movie was a waste of my time, and, perhaps, yours. It could be better spent learning how to edit.

Rhys, if you keep doing fight scenes, which I don't reccommend, shoot in a different location. I'm a little sick of the backyard and the trampoline and falling off of your deck.

RE: Anyone got a short ww2 script

I've got a one page pitch about a patrol unit in Korea that could easily be tweaked for WWII. It takes place in a clearing surrounded by a densely wooded area where enemy soldiers lurk and eventually fire on the unit, killing them before a single gun is fired in defense. In the next scene, an Americ...

RE: The Discharge

Everyone dies and that's justice? Hmmm. I didn't like it that much. The imagery is quite good but the plot is pretty plain. New cop kills a petty theft whose brother gets his revenge. Everyone dies. I would complicate things a bit. Neil shouldn't be able to get away with murder that easily, despite ...

I agree with UFP. The Thompson's overall structure is relatively easy to build. Also, the stock, which would probably be the most difficult to build, can be found on eBay for around $40. Other than that, wood and PVC pipe will do the job.
