Hehe, that was great. Any film that has a mime massacre definitely gets my vote!

RE: New film: TOUGH WORLD

Starting off really good. I've been looking forward to it since the last thread. I have to point out though that a few scenes could have really used a bit more lighting. And I still don't like the backlighting of the window in the scene where Shane first meets his brother. If the purpose was to hide...

RE: my script so far

First off, this should be in the "Scripts" section. (grrr...) Anyway, I had a hard time keeping track of everybody. It could have been just how the script was laid out. Are Chelsea and Charlie siblings too? Is everyone else just friends? There wasn't really much time for character developm...

RE: BLINDED

I actually think you did pretty well as far as digital effects go. Some of them could be touched up a bit, but they don't look terrible. I liked the parts where you saw the killer silently taking out the SWAT guys (as opposed to them just getting shot). Personally, I think the only things that reall...

Okay, I just watched EIGHT BALL, and I have a few thoughts. 1. I was a little confused as to what was going on. I know that you said they were just random scenes, which I believe is this one's downfall. The way you presented TOUGH WORLD drew me in so much more effectively. 2. Some of the cuts in the...

Well, everything I wanted to say has already been said, but damned if that's going to stop me. You should make the dying effect faster and your muzzle flashes shorter, and maybe a few more cuts when they are fighting (that way you could redo the jump kick a few times until it looks like he actually ...

RE: Check it => House explosian

I agree that the inital ripple looked excellent. It really adds to the explosion. Any way you can just keep that first little bit of the ripple?

I was only able to download the first one "Tough World" (Rapidshare file limit...I have to wait an hour before I can download the second one). Anyway, I thought it was really well done. The first thing that I noticed were that the cuts were good. I get so frustrated watching films on here ...

RE: a few special effects

I liked the Yeti POV one, and the first one for the most part. I think everything would be better if you utilized the "less is more" philosophy, though. Think of the first "Jaws" movie. You barely saw the shark during the entire movie, which ended up making it more effective. May...
