Interesting, but pretty ambitious. The location especially would be a hell of a challenge.
Can you tell me where to find a copy ofthat short story? I'm not familiar with the author.

The flame looks realistic enough, as do the shadows, but shouldn't the slide be moving back? Or is the Desert Eagle a delayed-blowback weapon?

Actually, flash-suppressors on big crew-served weapons are there as much to protect the gunner's eyes as anything else. If you haven't already tried this, go to Lycos.com, select the Images and Audio tab and the Audio icon and fire away. It should produce something, at least.

Try looking up the soundtrack on one of the sites where they play 30-second samples; I've seen both trailer and film, and I'm pretty sure it was in both.

I like it. It's not immediately obvious whether his is going to be a horror flick or a tender, improbable romance, but whichever way you take it, I'd like to see the finished result.
