btw Serenity is a beautiful film I'll agree, and that opening shot was pretty amazing, but I would have liked more in the film. They started out with such a great shot and it was kinda anti-climatic. These really impress me, especially the 6 minute one, the choreography must be immense, but the doc...

Did you want it to actually be bullet proof or just to look like one? http://cheaperthandirt.com/MOLLE306-19885-1977.html This is a military MOLLE vest. It has pouches inside that marines slip in Kevlar Plates. So it could be bullet proof, but if you need it just for a prop then its perfect and cheap.

PEOPLE! Kentertainment clearly stated that this was made and put on here clearly for your enjoyment. I have worked with him quite extensively and I know that he doesn't need critiques on this. He manages quite proficiently. So take for its face value. Don't hurt yourselves trying to figure it out.

RE: filming with pro cameras

Tip for the XL and Depth of Field, even if you have it set on manual focus while filming if you are panning at all it will try and focus on the closest object. You need to constantly keep it in focus. It gets annoying but it is well worth it if you want a constant depth.

I second Adobe Elements and Sony Vegas. Both are fairly cheap and do some pretty amazing things if you know how to use them.

I have FCP and edit fine using a AGDVX100B. Whoever told you that is full of it.

Fill a little baggie of some kind up and shoot it with an airsoft gun. Tada, now you even have the effect of impact, only drawback is the actor has to get shot.

Not possible with Premiere as far as I know. The only way I can think of is to find a version of the song with out lyrics.

RE: Parachute?

Gyro posted a WWII film on here awhile ago where he shot paratrooper landing. He just used a sheet and had the actor jump from a ledge into frame. Try something similar just with a bigger piece of material. Here is a link to the film. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9139963709831579593&...

Both film in anamorphic 16:9. Wouldn't recommend using that though, it distorts your picture way to much.

RE: subtitles?

Yes but it is quite complicated. I'll try and explain. There are 2 ways that I know of. One- there is a program on the internet called hand brake. It is free and it will allow you to take your DVD's and put them into a digital format. Here is the link for the program. http://handbrake.m0k.org/?page_...
