i couldn't get a film club going in my school. and right now, we have a huge a** studio with cyclorama curtains, a desk, lights, and a whole control booth, 3 jvc broadcast cameras w/ monitors on each and handle controls on rolling industrial tripods. the class is a joke and i won't take it. all they...

WOW. absolutely rediculous. xn fact i think its the most outrageous thread i've ever seen out of the 15-20 forums i'm subscribed to! it went from a crappy video, to yelling and life threatening by a 13 year ald (who i would advise get some professional help) everyone tw...

RE: Mt. Discernen Trailer
looooks tight. great use of cranes and stabilizers. seems like insane thinking went into this. i mean, how many different routes are there? and you have to film a seperate story for each outcome and path you take. excited to see the final product.

tho only thing an external mic will hepl w/ with those cameras is if you use it to boom overhead, so you can get the mic closer. otherwise its a waste of a 100 bucks or so. and even then, the crappy auto leveling and electronics in the camera don't let you use the expesive mic to anywhere near its f...

the cg is just terrible. don't use it. its funny, the more i watch these kinds of films, the more i realize how dumb my videos used to be, so i know the boat your in. just start studying film, techniques and such, and start doing it from an artistic point of view. those are always the best. watch go...

RE: Trailer: Wakeboard movie
i only saw one good trick. the other stuff made me not want to watch it, like not being able to clear the wake. if your going to involve a sport like that, get shots of tantrums, and whirlybirds and double up 720s or air ralleys. anything thats big and cool looking. so if you put more of that stuff ...

that was not very good. you need more knowledge. again, i don't mean to attack you, but after reading all your posts, what i see you as, is a 13 yeoar old know-it-all, who thinks he can out-do all these older people, yet when you make videos, they look like 13 year old videos that show no artistic a...

well. it was pretty much was very similar to the mirror in the matrix, but that doesnt mean it has to be exactly the same.... btw great render. the snap back looks wierd because it snaps, then suddenly the whole mirror is full of shock ripples. so maybe claen that up a bit if you use it in anything....

rhys. sometimes you need to not talk. you need to realize that your 13 or whatever. anyways. youngfilmmaker. i'd like to see what you can do. because i've got this script. its 30 pages long. 4 main characters. its a psycological thriller about a town that kids start getting murdered in, and nobody k...

Oh you mr fancy pants with ur mini 35! whaaa i want one (and am probably too incompetent to make one!) I'll probably end up buying an M2 (or cheaper mini 35 adapter) for the hvx200 i use. The Xl-2 is a great camera o' course, u'll get some great results. haha, actually i spent a total of maybe 15 b...

RE: Zero
i thought it was boring. good camera work for the most part, fairly smooth shots. but this movie was just walking around, waaayyyy toooo long. you just wait and wait for something to happen, and then it just kinda happens in a half of a second. also, the trees repeating 3 times at the end was pretty...

yea, but the comical route is also a lazy way out. i hate how people on here just think, well i can't make a serious film, so i'll just make it cheesy/funny. i know half the films that try to be serious end up not being serious mostly becauese of the actors, but either way, i think you should go ser...
