Lots of editing programs have chroma keying: Final Cut Express, Adobe Premiere, Vegas, etc. but you'll sacrifice the ease-of-use part. You could always get a seperate software for greenscreening. I'm not advertising or anything, but if you go to httP://www.fxhome.com they make software for "Lig...

jackbauer24, I'm not sure if keyframing in Final Cut Pro is the same as in express, but anyway: keyframing is just setting the position of objects throughout the time line. So, if you wanted to have a picture zoom in, you would set one point to all the way zoomed out. Then, later in the timeline, yo...

I'm 13 and I used Final Cut Express HD :) Very simple keyframing and motion blur.

Well, here's one: Medium Quality, MPEG-4 (Right Click, Save As). If you like it, I'll send over the full quality version. If not, I can try making a different one.

RE: Not My Cup of Tea

This always happens :( Stupid Final Cut Express exports files that won't work on PCs. *sigh*
Sorry about that, DEDFX. Yeah, this was pretty much a test, to practice for making a film with an actual story (other than about tea). I'll upload a mpeg 4 version.

Not My Cup of Tea

More of a test/practice than a film, but anyway, it's about making a cup of tea...with a twist.

About 2-3 minutes long.

RE: "The Next Job" A Kentertainment Picture

Yet another great short film :). There was a bit of microphone noise in the first scene, like the sound the mic makes when it's tapped. The titles where really cool.

It must have gotten a good grade...

Final Cut Express HD is compatible with AIFF files only; any other file will skip during playback. To convert the song: 1. Burn it to a disc in the original format (using iTunes) 2. Import it back from the disc (into iTunes) Now the song will be unprotected, and in iTunes preferences, you can set th...

I have Final Cut Express HD, but I really doubt that my computer could handle HD footage without running out of memory. Is an HD video file much bigger (memory wise) than a normal DV file?

I'm pretty sure you can plug your mic directly into the GL2, becuase the GL2 has 3-Pin XLR inputs. BUT...if you're not using the mic for a shotgun mic, and are putting it on a boom, that's a good choice (as long as it's 3-pin XLR to 1/8" stereo)

Yes, I know. I'm shooting in 16:9, stretched. When I put it on the computer to edit, it un-stretches to 4:3, with black bars. I'm wondering if I should export the video stretched in 16:9, and try to resize it so that it is wide again? Right now, the software is exporting it as 320 by 240. Should I r...

RE: How do I export in true 16:9?

Okay, heres an example: http://www.fanflicks.com/tickets/cw.htm
The actual video is wide, instead of having a 4:3 square window with black bars on the top and bottom. Anybody know how to do this?

How do I export in true 16:9?

I'm using Final Cut Express HD. Just wondering if there is a way to export a compressed movie in 16:9 widescreen? I know how to export with bars at the top and bottom of the picture, but I've seen films on the web where the window is wide, and there are no bars. Thanks.
