easiest way i found was using after effects. as long as the bullets either comming towards or going away from camera just use the ripple effect included in after effects it can look awesome in slow motion as well. you'll have to tinker with the ripple size and length their on screen for the effect t...

its not the learning side. i have a degree in computers (not film making unfortunately) so learning comes easy.. its just i dont wanna jump in at the deep end with a program i cant get to grips with. i'd like a fairly powerful but easy to understand prog to start with. then if i feel its not up to s...

lightwave Vs 3d studio max

as i have never actualy used a 3d modelling program but feel that i need to use and learn one. what would be your suggestions for the above programs. i hear lightwave is quite powerful and very easy to use with its use of text instead of icons. where as 3d studio is more powerful but harder to use b...

software is any photo package.. i'd recommend adobe photoshop but everyone has their own preference.. but why go the software route.. some blue material is ok.. and for cars id suggest a green screen not blue due to the colour of the sky. but a greenscreen on a piece of cardboard put accross the win...

the something underneath is glass or clear perspex.. if your budget will cater for that.. if not try splashing around in a paddling pool and keying them onto the marina pool including footsteps and splashes..and if you are using perspex you dont need a ramp. just a long piece that will go from one e...

dvdx is pretty good if you dont use the internal encoder. its a lot beter to export using a frameserver (false avi) to another decoder such as tmpgenc or cce or panasonic mpeg1. but i would only use dvdx if you are short on hdd space as there are many other better rippers out there but these require...

there are 2 points to be made here.
first to hear sound you need to do a ram preview (the play button). also when exporting for some reason after effects has sound disabled by default. you have to enable sound in the export window. you should then have sound.

the best software for this is also free. the program is called dvd2svcd. it uses free encoder tmpgenc or the overly priced cce. but all the same its a very good program for ripping dvd's at the click of a button.
