RE: Sound editing program, hopefully free or cheap......
Its just my editing software is rather cheap, I have the pinnacle studio movie box (cr** I know) and an analogue camera.......
The plan is too make a decent "sound file" and then add it too my movie footage.

Sound editing program, hopefully free or cheap......
Can anyone suggest a sound editing program that is either free or cheap, I need it to do the following..... 1) import instrumental music from a CD I have.... 2) Import sound effects that are stored in my computer 3) Be able to edit both together and adjust various sound levels so I can have both the...

Jperson, if you looking for someone to write you a decent script for free they are going to want to see a decent end product eg the film. If its badly shot/acted etc the writer who has spent his time writing you a script is going to a bit annoyed to say the least. Get better at using your camera fir...

Information any potential script writer will need.....
This thread is for those who are seeking a script writer to write them a script. This is sort of information any potential writer will need to know:- 1) He will need to know what cast members you have access to, gender etc If you want to play roles that you are to young for well thats ok if this is ...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Any scripts available?
Nba185, you know its not easy to write a GOOD script yet seem to expect someone to do this for you and spend alot of time doing it. Writing a good script takes alot of time because you will need to re-write anything you do several times to make it good. Also more information would be needed:- 1) Wha...

RE: TEASER OF A SCRIPT!!!!!!!!!!! SCRIPT SET IN NEAR FUTURE!
The names are wrong if you are setting this film in the near future of planet earth, if set in an alternative universe they could be ok. The dialogue isn't very good, try writing it in normal english, it will go better with a near future setting. Making up words to make the story unique is dodgy as ...

RE: Asking for someone to write a script for you, read this
I can see what you are saying lawriejaffa and yes if a person on here can find a scriptwriting partner to team up with then generally that is better as long as they both have the same vision. I'm sure you have heard of the term "creative differences" this could happen with multiple script ...

RE: Asking for someone to write a script for you, read this
I can see what you are saying lawriejaffa but I'll add this, the majority of people using this site are amateur film makers and they don't have acess to high quality script writers. Its alot to ask someone to spend their free time writing you a good script especially when you aren't willing to pay t...

RE: Asking for someone to write a script for you, read this
I will add this, If you really know that you can't write, then this is what I recommend. Suppose you find a guy willing to help you, this is what he will likely need:- How many cast members you have access to + their genders (eg male or female) What CGI or physical effects you are capable of doing (...

Asking for someone to write a script for you, read this
Write your own if you possibly can as you'll put more effort into it, unless you are paying someone to write it for you. You know what resources you have:- eg actors (what age they are, gender), props, music abilities for soundtrack, CGI/physical effects abilities, locations you have access to. Here...

Thanks for all the replys guys but after lots of talk with my friend we have decided to go a different route..... RE: Special effects/CGI
About your work, I thought your space ship battle was well done, as you say not up to the quality level i'm talking about but that is a very high standard. I notice on your profile on DA it says your 17, so plenty of time to improve and you should be able to become a professional yourself in a few y...

Special effects/CGI
Does anyone on here have the skill to do "tv scifi level" special effects/CGI. Myself + a friend are looking into financing our own feature film but we don't know anyone with the relevant skills and don't have money to pay a professional effects company. This would be alot of work but we a...

I would never try and find locations first. write the scripts if you had no limits......wildabeast009, thats ok for Professional script/movie but we are talking amateur film making here. One more comment, concerning the fight choreography:- During the fight there was more than one flying kick landed which in my book of film fighting is a finishing technique. Instead your victor finished his bent over opponent with a punch to the face. There ain't not similarity in power between a fl...

your fight scene
Took me a while too download as I only have a 56k modem, no broadband in my village. I thought your fight choreography was actually fairly good for practice footage. I did miss the sound effects though which definately add to a fight scene. Also and this is a personnal thing i'm not into slow mo, do...

Thats actually a common myth xander, I've seen some street fight footage and most of the times it remains standing up. What happens is the loser ends up on the floor and is usually kicked by his standing opponent. Theres actually very little ground grappling, sometimes some grappling while standing ...

Personally, I thought the dungeons and dragon movie was ok, rather tame but ok, the worst aspect of it I thought was Jeremy Irons acting/panto performance. Normally he's a decent actor but for some reason he went way over the top in this, nearly derailed the whole thing. An amateur film of dungeons ...

RE: Re: RE: Naughty soldiers
CGI is admitedly difficult to get right, I would also argue that physical effects/make up aren't easy either. Ornsack, making friends and family up to look like CONVINCING zombies is difficult + you need blood/gore effects presuming some heroes will get bitten + zombies getting shot/decapitated. You...

Naughty soldiers
Ornsack, just watched your naughty soldiers trailer, found it quite funny (hope that was the intention, lol) As a zombie movie spoof looks like it could work. However, a general thought, zombies are quite hard too make look right if going for horror film with more serious tone. Lots of complex make-...
