reckon it could, i use final cut pro to retransfer to mov but i reckon it will be the same

with dvd i advise u to use quicktime format if u have a mac, what i do for dvd is then encode the quicktime to mpeg using the toast titanuim vcd function - but be careful, if u want mpeg dvds, idvd wont be enough. get something like dvd studio pro from apple.

final cut pro does it all much simpler with its keyframing

ive tried avid on someone else's computer, xpress that is.. terrible, looks professional but it takes ages to figure out and im so used to fcp i just dont like the layout. final cut rules, now version 4 is out and that is incredible.
