For being totaly 2D I think that looks great! I love the little zoom you have in there, makes it feel firefly/serenity-ish. I only have three sugestions: 1. see if you can't tweak your sun a little bit. I would make it's halo a little less defined as not to wash out the entire frame. Also I would ad...

RE: Time
Looks very good, I wish there was more to see. The story seemed well written and intriguing, and the acting was pretty good. But the first thing I noticed is that the aspect ratio seems a bit off, almost like you forced a 16x9 video into 4:3. Also you seem to have some interlacing problems; in the f...

I am going to try and be as constructive here as I can. I really think that you need to redo both the CG and the miniature shots. The major problem with the CG is that it looks like you never got around to lighting or texturing it. I would take the time to light and texture the CG to look exactly th...

Well while I couldn’t sleep last night I decided to put together a more realistic version of your patch. Feel free to use it if it suits your needs. If not then I guess I just learned a little more about Photoshop by making it. Also, to give credit where it is due I used the tutorial here to ...

A while back I posted this link to a tutorial on how to build a "DOF Machine" that uses a real 35mm camera lens to simulate the DOF of a film camera. This project is not for everyone, and it has some real drawbacks, but overall it could be very useful.

Premiere and After Effects are two totally different programs, and are intended to be used together. Premiere is used for editing your project, putting all the right scenes in their place. After Effects can be used to edit, but is simply not as good at it. After Effects job is to do compositing and ...

o if I were to hit end process for every single one of those programs the computer wouldn't crash? No it wouldn’t, all the vital processes would refuse to close. the only one that would cause any problems is explorer.exe, basically everything would disappear except for the task manager. But ...

svchost is normal, dont worry 'bout that one. here is a good list of common processes. I would shut down everything you have running (including getting rid of all the running programs in you tray) and check out all the remaining processes on the website above. it is not fun, but I have done it many ...

I think you mean 1048 MB not KB (unless your machine is from the 80’s.) Anyway, it is not uncommon for Windows XP itself to use up to 300 megs or more of memory, and the rest is probably some programs running in the background. To see what is using the most memory open the task manager (Ctrl-...

The 12 and the 16 refer the bits per sample. When converting an Analog source (Sound) to a Digital medium (Computer) numerous samples are taken per second to represent the data in a way the computer can understand (Which are numbers stored in a binary fasion). Basically what it boils down to is that...

I don’t know what the most realistic way to do the effect would be, but I do know from mythbusters that the wood poplar ’s tensile strength is very close to that of human bone. It seems to me that using poplar would make a more realistic looking snap then balsa would. Poplar is also re...

RE: Final Fantasy 8?
While FF8 is slightly looked down upon by the hardcore RPG crowd, I still like it. Personally I wouldn’t try and retell the story of FF8, I would write my own story set in the same world. I would incorporates just enough connections to the game that fans will find it cool, but with a coherent...
