well this is free and i am planing on making it open source. It will be able to load video but this is the vary first version.

Oh um... i forgot about PAL. um i will add pal support in Version 0.2. Ill post that hopfully in an hour. if any one has anyother suggestions please post them.

if your willing to work for hours on end then yes it will but it would take days of work for a minute of video.

So you must split your video using a tool like virtual dub (freeware Virtualdub.sf.net). I will put up a full tutorial ...

thx for the link. i just put up the first alpha. it is really buggy and slow. you must put the 2 videos in to bmp format. here is the link.

i have to agree with montezumas_revenge that if you run avg and spybot a few times a week your system will be ok. I dont agree about the linux or mac thing because most software will never get ported and most of the gnu open source software is still too buggy to use for any real purpose.

I am looking for someone that is willing to lend me about 100kb of webspace for a program I made called FreeBlue. It is a free tool that can be used for simple blue\green screening. It is still in a vary early alpha state and has many bugs. If you can help me please email me at Naphie@GMail.com

um if your willing to get your own server you can use a program called videolan http://www.videolan.org

if your lap top is working then you can download a progarm called bartpe and use the xp pro upgrade disk to make a simple version of xp that boots from a cd. then you can use a network to move files from your dead computer to your working laptop.
