mp5 shell casing

I've search this site over and over to fight an old post where some of us mentioned shelling casings for an MP5. Someone mention what the shell casings are called. Can't find the poast. Does anyone know what there called? Maybe even know a site that might sell them or have a picture of one.

The thing is that in big films they use what is called a flashblank. It fires only a flash with very little "bang" to it. You have to have a pyro and probably a stunt cordinator when using it. They can be dangerous because you are using a real gun and the flash can hurt some one really clo...

Use model minatures and green screen. Make a green screen platform out of thin plywood and cut a slit in it. Glue a thin green screen painted stick to the bottom of the tank. Then put the stick through the slit in the green screen platform. Then record it using the stick to move the tank along. That...

blood is yellow?... I must be weird than cause every time I bleed it is red.

By the way, like the skin, looks good. Good experimentation. how well does it hold up to movement?

I agree, sometimes you are forced to add the blood in later. I was set to do all my blood on location. But when we went to do our nighttime scenes the blood wasn't able to be seen. So we are adding it in for the night time scenes in post production. I also wasn't personally able to do alot of fake b...

first off animated shells casings close up like I am going to do for my slow motion shot would look bad. Anything video taped closer than five feet from the camera gives away the fakeness. But adding shell casings with a gun 5 feet or more would look realisic. But if it isn't in the forest or in the...

actually Canada didn't become a country until after WWII because the brits felt bad that they yelled at Hitler for owning territories so they gave up all these colonies they held so they wouldn't be seen as hypocrits and that is why we have problems in N Ireland and Isreal/Palastine. But that's just...

Why can't you just make your own green screen and make the stock footage yourself. That's why I am going to do.

I had looked into some blank firing guns from a site on the web. But couldn't figure out wheather or not it would eject a shell or not. Big thing with me was that I need to see the slide on a .45 move and also see the shell eject. And in the shot it is in slow motion so everyone will no if something...

I would possibly even look into buying some stock footage of some of the machine guns being fired off (but they'd have to have blue screen behind them so I can capture it easier). Shoot I'd like some stock footage of a berreta being fired off too!

I wouldn't digitize it. Instead set up a blue screen. Put a small hole in it. Aim the camera at the angle you'd see the body that is hit by the bullet. Put the compressed air mechanism that you are using up to the hole and fire out the baby powder. Think like the green screen is the clothing on the ...

you should have video taped it! Take your gun, do a couple different angles with blue screen behind it and post it. Some of us would love to mask off some of those flashes and use then on our films. The most realistic stuff is the real stuff.

he said Final Cut Express, not pro so there's no contest. Premeire Pro will be better. Now if you are comparing Premeire Pro and FCP then it is probably a matter or prefreence.

sorry your teaser, over all some of the best stuff shot and edited. Some of the cgi was lacking a little. Not sure what it was but didn't look as real. I think I would have considered model minature on the air planes and added the flames in with cgi. Most of the muzzle flashes look realistic. I like...
