RE: My first movie up here "Vikings!!!" Crits Plea
Good crits, I actually agree on just about all of it. Although I must admit that it didnt occur to me that someone would find the accents out of place. I guess the actors were just going by what they heard on "Braveheart". I notice you didnt mention that you could see the freeway in severa...

RE: what does Premier have to offer?
premiere is pretty similer to vegas. although, in my experience, not as reliable and not as quick (editing work flow and such.) but the downside of vegas is that almost no professionals use it. :/ right now i'm in a jam cause its hard for me to get editing work with local tv stations and advertising...

it is very common in the us forces for soldiers to buy their own stuff. here in san diego (a big military hot spot) theres a whole slew of stores devoted to selling the soldiers gear thats better than the cr** the government gives them, everything from weapons to cots to night vision to camelbacks. ...

good luck with that, Max is not to be under estimated, it is very complex and you'll hav to go at it for a year or so before you get anything worth showing to anyone

RE: Sony PD150?
Epsilon is right, the PD170 (or 150) is just like the VX2100 except with a few extra pro stuff on it. such as: DVCAM support, Metal body instead of plastic, Iris and gain are seperate controls, black and white viewfinder, XLR connections, independent audio channel controls (left and right), Time cod...

RE: Sony PD150?
I think the PD150 is a generation older than the VX2100. sounds like a good deal though, i love my VX2100. i got it about 4-5 months ago and havnt regretted once. the cameras are sharp and have awsome low light performance. also lots of manual controls. plus it gives you credibility just to have a c...

video cards are mostly for rendering 3D objects and enviorments. the ram on the cards is for storing textures to apply to the 3D objects. (used in gaming and rendering the viewports in 3D modeling) as far as video-editing though, the video card is barely used. in fact, video editing specific compute...

Check out local thrift stores. my local "AmVets" always has a supply of BDUs for a fraction of the regular cost. you can get brand new ones or some scuffed up ones for even cheaper.

HP Commercial, Crazy Effect
have you guys seen that Hewlett Packard commercial where the guy is sitting in his office and he holds a paper frame in front of his face, and then when he moves the paper, the snap shot of his head at that moment stays in the frame. And then to make things more copmlicated, he picks up a piece of p...
