Like an idiot, the first time I posted this I said it was not up, well it is. For those who followed me putting together swat outfits I now put together an award-winning short film featuring them. I participated in the 48 Hour Film Competition where my 6 minute film "DISERVICE" was selecte...

Hmm, my thread seems to have de-evolved into a pile of fast-food. Anyhow, since Spartan_Monkey is actually on topic and wants to know my costume I appreciate it. I put time into de-constructing the SWAT-style outfit. -Black (or blue) military BDU pants and shirt -Tactical vest with belt -Thigh holst...

The percentage of the population that can tell the difference between the different models of the MP5 is so miniscul as to not make it important. If they are paying attention that damned closely to my guns then my story has lost them and I might as well cry and go home. I'd prefer to have them engro...

RE: Updated SWAT/Special Ops costuming
The white on the goggles is just fog because it's very hot here and we had on all these clothes. The funny thing is that those knee pads and elbow pads are not for sports! I found and paid a lot for tactical knee pads and elbow pads. If you look at them and compare them to pictures of SWAT teams, th...

Updated SWAT/Special Ops costuming
A few months ago I posted a picture of me in my spec ops/SWAT uniform. Well I updated it and put together a total of 5 of them! Here is a few shots of two of us. Does it look real enough as a generic SWAT/Spec Ops uniform? http://www.nelsonentertainment.com/images/research/SWAT_twomen_1.jpg http://w...

The black BDUs were at a good deal from www.outinstyle.com, $10 for the shirt and $20 for the pants for mil-spec black BDUs. The helmet, goggles, gloves, vest and holster were from www.cheaperthandirt.com and the balaclava and SPAS-12 airsoft shotgun were off of eBay

But the SPAS12 looks cooler! Actually in my script the guys aren't SWAT but are a special ops team of unknown origins.

SWAT Outfit!
So my next short movie is about a botched special ops raid. I'm putting together 4 really nice outfits then I'll use angles and effects to get the full 12 man squad. Oh, and for you filmmakers who have problems because all your actors are under 18, consider hiding their faces. Any comments on the ou...

Okay, let me see if I can reply to everyone here. -Yes, I do have video of me shooting it. I'll try to upload some. It's just me firing it there at the range so you won't be able to key off it but you could get a much better idea of how it looks. I've thought about shooting in front of a black scree...

Real M16 flash
I know you guys are always talking about putting in fake flash. So I got for you a picture of me firing a real M16 today using live ammo with a wickedly real flash coming out. Mind you it is bigger because my buddy took the flash suppressor off. But this the real deal, no photoshop or AE here and re...

$1400 USD tuition plus room and board and various expenses for the week, plus a week of lost wages. It was well worth every penny!!

Wire flying!!
Well guys, I'm really serious about adding wire flying stunts to my big vampire film. So what'd I do? Went to stunt school! I found the United Stuntmen's Association (http://www.stuntschool.com/) and went to their annual aerial wire master class (a week long course). It was incredible! There were st...

New Resin Props
Hey everyone, I just recently picked up some new props and wanted to see what people thought. They cost a pretty penny but I think will be very cool. The new ones are the Soviet RPG and the M60. The M4 and M16 are shown for dramatic effect.

Why am I not a big fan of special effects? Not too long ago I was posting on how to do a very complicated effect of how to run people over with a car. Thanks Blade for the music comment. I'm particularly proud of that, and in the full movie there's lots of good music. I got the legal rights to sever...

Trailer for Knight Time
Hello guys. Here's the trailer for my new movie, Knight Time. It's a children's comedy set in the medieval times. In it I got one of the main actresses from Gus Van Sant's Elephant to take a key role (Elephant was the movie that took Palm D'Or at Cannes Film Festival 2003 and Gus Van Sant is the guy...
